In 1950, Elwin
"Frank" Fenoff began quarrying stone from a location outside Germansville
Pennsylvania that he had scouted out. Starting out as Structural Slate
and Flagstone, his operation grew to over 20 employees. The company
both quarried stone and offered masonry work. After some labor difficulties,
Frank cut back and became a two man operation taking on his son Craig
in the '70's. Frank and Craig worked together quarrying and laying
stone changing the company name to Fenoff Stone Sales & Masonry.
In the mid-'80's they eventually focused on just quarrying and dropped
the "& Masonry" from the business title. In 1991 Frank left this world
leaving Craig and his young son Craig II, to carry on. Fenoff Stone
Sales has operated year round for 50 years and for three generations.
Stone is not just our business, but our heritage. We hope to be able
to serve our customers for future generations to come. |
